I'm Back!

Well I am back from North Carolina. I had such an amazing time and learned tons! It was nice to learn not only photography related things but about how to manage you time with life and business. The island was beautiful and relaxing listening to the waves and only being able to drive a golf cart at 18mph. The meals were delicious everytime we ate...which was at 8:00, 12:00, and 6:00. I have never ate 3 good meals everyday so it was awesome. The house we were staying in was only selling for 1.8 million!!! I have quite a few things to change in my business that I wouldn't have really thought of if I hadn't gone to the workshop. I hope to post pictures soon, maybe tonight so check back!

Leaving!

I am off to my first photography workshop and I am so excited! It is put on by some lovely ladies Millie, Lauren, Kelly, and Davina. I leave tomorrow before sunrise, luckily I won't be driving to the airport. Internet and cell phones will be patchy so if you e-mail me or call I won't be able to get back to you until March 3rd.

Try This!

Go to this link and see how far you can get. In only 15 minutes I was able to get 2,000. It's quite addicting and at least it's for a good cause!

It basically is just where a bunch of photographers can talk...you know....photography stuff and get together. That's where my changes come in so check back!

Holiday Thoughts

I will apologize right now for the long post. I know I am a little late with this post but at least I did it! I was up till 3:00am or so trying to figure out why the slideshow I created wouldn't upload. All of a sudden it worked today.

I am so thankful for all the people I have met through photography and everyone's support. It's not always easy to hear critique sometimes but that's what art is all about...even sports are like that. I am actually quite surprised at the amount of shoots I have done this year with it only being my 2nd-3rd year of really putting myself out there professionally.

When I heard this song that I put the slideshow to it literally brought tears to my eyes....and that's unusual....sort of. Maybe I was just having a bad day or something but it has a really good message, not just because it's Christmas. We often don't realize or maybe we just forget what other people are constantly going through. Christmas is usually the biggest giving season but why can't that be all year? That is something that has always frustrated me. I think it is because when I worked in an assisted living, tons of people would come during Christmas and then people were lonely throughtout the rest of the months. People's lives just don't get difficult in December, for some it is a constant battle. I just hope that we can remember to constantly think of those around us and try our best to help throughout the year. I'm not trying to say that I do this but I always like to try.

And just a little note to my husband if he reads this...I am so grateful for all that you do for me. You are able to make me laugh when I want to be mad, you take me out for the good classic dates of a dinner and movie which I love, you know what I can handle and what I can not, and you are always there for me. I am thankful for your constant effort with school to get into the pharmacy program and I know that God has a plan for us and I am willing to follow wherever we may end up for school...I just hope we will come back to Utah.

Click here for the slideshow. The pictures are a little fast because there were so many I wanted to put in it. I know I have left some people out but know that I haven't forgotten you I just didn't have all the time I wanted to upload pictures from archived discs. At first it would have had to repeat the song twice to get through all the pictures at a leisurely pace so I made it go a little faster. You can browse through all the pictures from one of the option buttons and the bottom of the slideshow. After all that work it cuts off about the last 5 seconds of the song. Oh well, enjoy.

Christmas Season

I got the urge to take some pictures of our Christmas ornaments and tree. I love Christmas trees, they are one of my favorite parts of the season.

Justin's grandma got these ornaments from Mexico a long time ago. She gave them to us last year after Christmas so I got to use them this year. There is just something about them I love.

And here's me in the ornament.

My mom got us this ornament last year for our first Christmas together. Now I have to find an ornament for this year.
The entire Christmas tree.

Grateful

I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving! It is always good to visit with family that we don't talk to on a daily basis. I am so thankful for all that our families have done for us. We have been blessed with such great people in our lives that support and love us no matter what. Not to mention all the wonderful people that have hired me to photograph their family, newborn, wedding, or senior. Thank you, thank you, thank you! Without all of you I wouldn't be growing as much as I have. Thanks for all the referalls!

Soon

I really have some things to post. I was going to add some things last night but then Justin was playing on Xbox live and if I am on the internet it screws up his game........oh well I will do it tonight. It's really annoying that the internet does that....why? I don't know. It's not like it's a life or death thing to post something but keep checking back as I have about 10 shoots to post.

Procrastinator

You might wonder why on earth there is a drill in this picture. Well.......it's the "man's" way of carving a pumpkin. Leave it to my brother Jason to come up with that idea.

Lost but Gained

Well about a month ago Justin sold his Jeep. I was quite sad because I really liked driving it every now and again and I liked having a bigger car. But on the flip-side, we got a Mazada Protege 5 (the car that I really wanted when I bought my current car but couldn't find a good deal). Thank goodness he liked the same car so we didn't have to argue over what vehicle we should buy. We made a long trip out to Eagle Mountain on a Friday night, test drove for about 10 minutes and said we will take it. Sadly we just had to make the same long trip again the next day. Oh well...it was definitely worth it. I love it! Now only if we could just trade cars.........
Our good find.
The lady we actually bought it from had only had it for 6-7 months but is moving out of the country, so we ended up getting a killer deal!

FYI

I put a price list on the bottom. If you have any questions, please e-mail me. I didn't put wedding pricing on there because it can be so complicated sometimes.

I just wanted to try using Photobucket. They have lots of ways of showing pictures. These are pictures from our wedding day. I'm not sure if I like doing it this way or not. Let me know what you think!

A Few Fav's

I thought I would put some of my favorite photographs on here. I have been able to shoot some fun, sweet, and beautiful people. It was hard to choose which ones to put because there are so many I love!
